It’s no secret I love 60′s fashion and mod make-up …so when I saw Beyonce’s Countdown music video, I was in love!

I especially fell in LOVE with the yellow cat’s eye you see in this photo right here. She transitions throughout several colors of the same look, but it returns to yellow – the color pops against sun kissed skin, super sexy.

I caught the most important part of the Golden Globes this year, and that is the 2012 Golden Globes fashion discussions. And after going through many many dresses I decided not only are the following women best dressed, but they have the best overall look. Great hair, makeup and accessories…

And now, in no particular order…the women of the hour!

Angelina Jolie

It was refreshing to see Angelina Jolie in something other than black. It is always nice to see some color going, she is absolutely stunning in this elegant Ateliar Versace gown. I love how she made her lips her main accessory to the gown by pulling her hair back and keeping her makeup simple other than the pop of red that matches the gown perfectly. Stunning!

Charlize Theron

She is no doubt a beautiful specimen of a woman, but I wasn’t that impressed with her neutral Christian Dior Couture gown until I saw it close up. Suddenly she looked like a flowing angel, her face was absolutely flawless …everything about her look head to toe seemed so effortless yet perfect.

Salma Hayek

I thought she looked beautiful when presenting an award with Antonio Banderas in her Gucci gown. She got some flack from other fashion gurus, saying the dress simply didn’t do her body justice. I disagree, she looked great…the dress hugged her curves, her makeup looked amazing and her hair looked thick and luscious!

Maria Menounos

Oooh this one was one my favs! Yellow …so stunning! Maria Menounos looked like a little piece of sunshine in her sleek, snug gown. I especially love how well the gown fits her body, it makes her waist look impeccable! Definitely one of my favorites!

Sophia Vergara

This beautiful loud mouth looked gorgeous in her cobalt blue mermaid Vera Wang gown. She paired the sleek look with tons of diamonds…I think this one made my favorite list because it reminded me a lot of my wedding reception outfit! Love!

Kate Beckinsale

Kate Beckinsale can do little wrong. She is one of those effortless beauties who looks just as glamorous in sweats. Here she is in Roberto Cavalli looking just grand!  She can’t get enough of mermaid silhouettes and for good reason, she looks great in them.

Nicole Kidman

Nicole Kidman surprised me a little by wearing this sexy Versace gown. She has an amazing figure and obviously is not afraid to show it.

It is pretty refreshing to see the National Advertising Division doing it’s job…hats off to them. Apparently Taylor Swifts new CoverGirl lash ad was banned due to excessive photoshopping…Doesn’t CoverGirl know that lying can make your pants light on fire?

According to the National Advertising Division,  the ad for CoverGirl NatureLuxe Mousse Mascara made “superior performance claims,” such as “2X more volume” and “20 percent lighter,” that could not be substantiated.
CoverGirl did admit that Taylor Swifts look for the ad had been enhanced in post production, and if you read the fine print of the ad you will know this …but who (besides me) reads the fine print for makeup ads? Below is the ad that got CoverGirl a slap on the hand.

Old-school Indian bridal makeup always seemed too strong for my taste. When I think of Indian bridal makeup I imagine big beautiful dramatic eyes, with a smooth rosy complexion and a hint of pink kissed lips. With my wedding day inching closer and closer I have collected many photos for inspiration. Here is a set of photos of new Indian model Amina showing Bridal looks and she looks great.

Cute yes, maybe even beautiful…sexy? Sure why not…But sexiest woman alive??? Minka Kelly is the Sexiest Woman Alive according to Esquire Magazine.Um… if they say so. I on the other hand am a bit puzzled, and would like to see  who the runner ups were.

Whether the majority agree with me or not, she must be doing something right as far as upkeep goes. Here she is at her best!

I’ll admit, she’s easy on the eyes… but really?! sexiest woman ALIVE?

I really like these photos of Jessica Alba from some magazine called Genlux. Maybe because in each shot there is a tiny little doll with her, and I love tiny little cute things. I really do!

I feel like doing my hair, painting my nails…and getting dressed in one of my cutesy outfits… these photos are fun to look at if ever I need inspiration.
