Pretty Obsessed

Wearing a cute dress and being warm are two of my favorite things. And that is precisely why I love wearing sweater dresses when fall rolls around. A sweater dress can be dressy or casual, you just have to accessorize accordingly. A sweater dress can look sexy on every body type… if you happen to be very petite then simply cinch your waist with a belt to give definition. And if your body is a bit more on the curvy side then try wearing some shapewear underneath the dress.

Depending on how warm it is out, you can try wearing leggings with a basic pair of flat boots or high-heeled pumps…too warm? Skip the leggings; personally I think the leggings bring the look together.

And remember, if you’re going to wear a belt with your sweater dress, make sure it sits high up on the waist, low slung belts can make the outfit look sloppy!

Lips that look drenched in red wine make you look sexy and glamorous. This is a gorgeous evening look.

The goal is to keep the look youthful. To achieve this look smooth concealer only where needed and use a bit of powder to even the skin tone. Do not cake on the powder; you want to be able to see the natural glow of the skin.

Next dab on a light berry cream blush on the lower cheeks to add just a hint of color. Some makeup artists like using lip pencil before filling in the lips, but it can look too harsh. Instead I like to use a small stiff brush and apply the deep burgundy lip color in short strokes along the natural lip line, and then fill in the rest of the mouth. Remember to keep lips moisturized with chapstick, dry chapped lips are distracting and disgusting. Gross!

 For the eyes you want to use very minimal makeup, if any at all, this is the key to achieving the youthful look and avoiding the dramatic hooker look. Simply curl your lashes and use one or two coats of clear mascara.

Nude makeup can make a face look beautiful, fresh, and sophisticated. This season bright colors have popped up everywhere. It’s chic and no longer considered tacky. The key to this look is balance. If you choose to apply bright makeup to the lips then keep the eye makeup minimal. Applying bright eye shadow in different colors is a lot of fun and can really make your eyes stand out. If you choose to try this, then make sure to keep the lips natural, a hint of color and gloss is enough. Bright colors on the face is something different and fun and worth trying, when having a wild night out is in the agenda!

Expect to see a variety of deep reds, shimmery blacks, browns, purple and creamy, iridescent neutrals.
