Bold like Brigitte Bardot

Her look always called for extreme black-rimmed eyes with glossy nude lips, followed by a slightly undone full head of straight hair. The look is head-turning sexy in a not so obvious way…

Face Canvas

As always start with a perfect canvas. Apply a light foundation with a powder finish, to achieve what is known as the “natural look.”

Black Out

To create eyes that demand attention, try layering on the black makeup. First, line the eye with dark black liner/pencil on top and bottom of the eyelid. Then, layer on a sheer layer of inky black cream eyeshadow over the pencil. My favorite is Nars Cream Eyeshadow -Zardoz which goes for about $21 bones at Sephora. Blend through the  crease and along the lower last line and slightly upwards and out for a subtle cat-eye effect. Then curl your lashes and top it all off with two coats of black volumizing mascara on both sets of lashes.

Pout

A dramatic eye look calls for minimal makeup elsewhere. So define the brows slightly and only apply very little blush to the cheeks. Finish by muting out your pout with concealer before applying a high gloss nude lipgloss. My pick is No Care Bare by CoverGirl.

Hair

Begin by applying your choice of thickening lotion or styler to damp hair. Blowdry hair by working in sections using a nylon-bristle brush. If your hair is thick, a round brush may be easier to use instead of a flat one. I personally love my big square head brush which I bought at my local Rite-Aide. When my hair is nearly dry I like to twist my hair into a loose bun and clip it, allowing it to set for about 20 minutes. When my hair feels completely dry, I let  the hair out. This adds a bit of bounce to the straight hair leaving behind a few wispy, slightly turned out ends.

This look is sexy and effortless!

For a fresh sun kissed look, put aside your dark neutral shades and turn up the heat with stunning coral makeup.

Start by applying eyebase or a light neutral eye shadow all over lids right up to the brows, and also apply the color to the lower lash line.

Next take a salmon eyeshadow color and apply on lids up to the outer corners. Your next step is to apply an electric coral shade along the crease line and up leaving space just under the brows. Take the same color and apply the electric coral shade to the lower lash line as well.

Next apply a light almost silvery shade just under brows and also to the inner corner of the eyes.

With a light brown/espresso color, blend just a little into the crease of your lids at the outer edge right over the coral color. Next take your black liquid liner and draw a thin line along your top lash line, and line your ‘water line’ or your lower lash line with a brown liner. Curl your lashes and use two coats of dark brown or black mascara. Finish the look by using the coral shade as blush as well as a light coral gloss.

This glowy, vibrant look is best worn with light colors; I love this look when I am in a white dress. The look makes me feel like I am on an island far far away… hmm… I smell Pina Coladas!

Look Sexy Nude

Well- lined eyes with nude lips, is a classic sex kitten look which never fails to make an impact on your night out. It draws attention away from the mouth over to your eyes for an incredibly sexy impact.

You will first need to find a color that works with your skin tone so you won’t look washed out. The key is to stay within two shades of your natural skin tone. Girls with fair complexions can look for a shade that has a pink undertone, while girls with darker skin can lean towards beige undertones. It’s not easy finding the perfect nude shade, but Loreal has made it easy by developing Made For Me Naturals collection with 8 different shades meant to match your hair and skin.

To perfect your Bridgette Bardot-esque look, give your eyes an intense smoky look with dark eye shadow, black liner, and 2 coats of mascara. A touch of peach blush and your look is complete…completely sexy that is!

Black eye liner and shadow is a makeup must have, it compliments everybody’s eyes. However, if you look deeply into your eyes (like the creepy guy at the gas station does), then you will notice that there are flecks of color that are different from your main eye color. You may notice you have a bit of gold or violet shining through in the light. Use the color you see to really make your eyes pop! Adding just a little color will add dimension to your look.

If you’re unable to see any flecks then simply line your eyes in a color that contrasts with your natural eye color.

 Brown Eyed Girl

Lucky ladies with brown eyes can wear any color to bring attention to their peepers. Brown eye shadow can be used everyday for a natural makeup look, but to add zing to your look shadow the eyes in a contrasting color. Brushing the lid with navy blue, green, or purple eye shadow is the key to accentuating your eyes.

Green With Envy

Consider yourself blessed if you have green eyes. There are so many colors that compliment your color, everything from charcoal gray to brown.  My favorite choice for you green eyed beauties would be reddish black, the color looks amazing against green eyes.

Baby Blues

Black can look gorgeous with blue eyes, but the look is much too harsh for everyday wear. Instead opt for a rich espresso eye shadow and liner. The look is subtle yet very sexy.

Achieving the sexy come hither cat-eye look is easier than some of my gal pals. To draw attention to your beautiful eyes, simply follow the steps below.

But first, take time to perfect your eyebrows. Tweeze any stray hairs, lightly fill them in with brow shadow and sweep them in place. Because cat-eye makeup is dramatic, any un-tweezed hair will draw unwanted attention!

Now that the top part of your face has been groomed you can start on your eyes.

Apply your foundation/powder and concealer as you normally would to allow the natural glow of your skin to shine through.

-First you want to start with some black shade stick and apply it all over the eyelid so you have a dark black smokey look. Come out at the end as you would normally…now lift it right up towards the direction of your brow. The end of your brow can be a good guide for the lift placement. Be gentle on making the end shape, you do not want a sloppy look. Then, you want to add just a little bit at the outer corner on the lower lash line.

TIP: If your shade stick is a bit scratchy, rub it between your hands to warm it up for a more creamy application.

-When you have your shape, take some black eye shadow, while using a small brush apply the black shadow over the shadow stick to give it some depth. This will help set the look and prevent lids from getting ugly eye shadow creases.

-Now blend a small amount of light colored highlight cream, or shimmery light gold shadow under your brows.

-Lastly, curl your lashes and add two layers of dark black mascara. Avoid clumping by building the layers gradually, once finished comb them out with a lash brush.
