Everyone deserves to be happy and in order to protect that right for gay people we need to do our part and vote no on prop. 8. We need to open up our minds, I may not be gay and you may not be gay… but there are people who are and need our support. Just look how happy Ellen and Portia are! No one should have the right to take that happiness away!

personally, i’m up for everyone being happy – but…interesting fact – technically, this bill doesn’t matter bc even married gay couples in california are not married bc federal law superceeds state law and the fed law says no to gay marriage…

Julie, what the f are you talking about? Sure federal law trumps state law but where in the world did you get the idea that there is a federal ban on gay marriage? Please provide a link to the code of said magical law. Thank you.
